Process

Our client journey is simple and stress free. After you reach out to us, we provide a bespoke estimate within 48 hours. A site visit allows us to ensure your space can be designed with maximum efficiency. After a few weeks of design and design amendments based on your feedback, a detailed final design proposal pack is then sent to you. The furniture and appliances are then ordered by us. During this 6-12 week processing time, we can remove your existing kitchen. The arrival of products is followed by 1-2 weeks of installation, depending on size.

What’s the difference between 1909 and Second Nature?

While both excel with their trusted quality, our 1909 collection comes with in-frame cabinets, which provides more durability due to the increased rigidity of construction. Our Second Nature collection offers a wider range of door styles, ensuring everyone can find one perfect for their taste.

What door styles are there?

Our 1909 collection has Ovolo, Slab, Shaker and Outline door styles. Our Second Nature collection has Slab, Handleless, J-Pull, Shaker and Outline door styles.

How many colour options are there?

Both of our collections are available in 35 different external colours and 25 internal colours.

Where are the kitchens made?

The cabinets are made in the North of the UK in Durham. The wireworks and hinges are German made.

What’s the guarantee time?

We have a 10 year guarantee on our cabinets and lifetime guarantee on internal wireworks and hinges.

What material are the doors made of?

Doors in our 1909 collection are made out of MFC, whereas doors in our Second Nature collection are made of MDF/HDF.

What material are the cabinets made of?

Our cabinets are made out of veneered Alderwood, however our 1909 Feature Larder cabinets are made of solid oak.

What’s the lead time of the kitchens?

The lead time for cabinetry is 6-12 weeks depending on collection and colours chosen.

What are the worktop types supplied?

We supply Quartz, Dekton, Porcelain, Corian, Granite, Marble and Timber.

What are the appliance brands supplied?

We are Premium Partners of AEG, Bora and Quooker, however we can also supply any other brand you wish for.

What are the cleaning and maintenance recommendations?

We advise you to clean cabinets using a microfiber cloth and water. For appliances we recommend using diluted white vinegar to remove grease. In order to expand the lifespan of your products, it is essential that you avoid the use of all harsh chemicals.

Why choose Smith Interiors above other retailers?

At Smith Interiors we make cabinets not units, meaning that we provide a full rigid hardwood box with a back and top. Our cabinets are UK produced and include soft close Blum drawer runners and hinges as standard. The internal wireworks used inside our cabinets are German made Kesseböhmer. We pride ourselves on being able to guide our clients through the entire process, as within our services we design, supply and fit.
