Project Description:
Project nickname: Spacious Modernity
Client: Nicolas
Project: Kitchen
Range: Second Nature Porter Handleless
Location: W14 - Fulham
Year: 2024
Project Overview:
Nicolas approached us with a clear vision: to create a sleek, handleless kitchen featuring a Quooker 5-in-1 tap, an induction hob, and accommodating space for his existing freestanding washer and dryer.
Design Choices:
Initially, the cabinets were envisioned in Cashmere, but we personalised the colour scheme by incorporating Dove Grey and Regiment Green. These hues, paired with brushed brass handleless rails and oak herringbone flooring, achieved a cohesive and inviting aesthetic. The 20mm Calacatta Gold quartz work surface, boasting elegant grey marbling with gold accent veins, beautifully complements the brushed brass rails
Challenges Faced:
The project encountered several complexities due to the unique layout of the allocated room. With two sloped ceilings, conventional wall cabinets were not feasible. Additionally, a recess along the third wall influenced the depth of the cabinetry run. The fourth wall presented the most significant challenges, featuring a balcony that restricted wall cabinet height and a steel beam that required unconventional base cabinet depths. Compounded by the structural quirks typical of century-old homes, such as irregular wall angles, our team adeptly navigated these obstacles. Through innovative problem-solving, we delivered a luxurious kitchen space for Nicolas that maximises functionality while maintaining a contemporary feel.
